  • LOL... great way to shop for cars...

So found a fun way to shop for cars. Get a car, tell you to keep it overnight.

you take it. Then you take that car to go shopping at dealerships, when dealing look over at the vehicle with crapp all over it from other dealer and say, hey they offered blah blah, for that.

I must have driven 75 miles the last 2 days, and my car was in the garage all day. Different cars going around. They really start working with you on the price when you get like that.

huh? Why would the current dealer care what the other dealer is asking for their cars. It just seems like a good way to get the dealer to pick out the flaws of the other dealer's car and then just say how much better their car is.

It's called competition, and I bet you could get a nice deal doing that...plus it's hard to pick out flaws and brand new cars

One of the biggest rules in the car biz world is to not let the customer leave with an actual written statement of price because another dealer will beat it and then they lose the sale. Taking the car and making up a deal will work but if you did more research you get probably negotiate a little better and get a better deal. This way though there is no work on your part and you get to drive diffrent vehicles so thats cool too.

Depends on the dealer and if they feel like you are going to pull the trigger. The idea is to get you to fall in love with the car.

If you look like you have big bank and show interest in the car, they'll let you keep it for even 2-3 days. I know we have for a few people when I worked for the stealership

When I was in training in Texas, my buddy talked them into taking a blazer to NY for the holidays.
