that's happened to me a few times. I was let off street racing* when I complained to the cops that the kids in the honda didn't respect my bimmer. Another time the dude looked in and said "oh, I thought you were someone else" and let me go.

*I don't advocate street racing. This was a momentary lapse in judgment by me.

lol I have been pulled over 60-70 time had about 14 tickets...

I am not sure on the street racing laws now, since the one just got repealed but you used to be able to get arrested for streetracing...

now the old law left street racing as a competition or exhibition of speed, left up to the cops discretion.

if you left a stoplight, at 1/2 throttle, and out accelerated a car next to you, a cop could claim it was a comptetition and pull you over. Also if you purposely spun your tires, could be considered an exhibitiion of speed.


but that law was repealed so have at it.


-also 12 pts, in 12 months and 18 pts in 18 months will get your license suspended.
-Wreckless driving gets you and automatic court date, and your insurance company will most likley drop you
-DUI of course...



as for the arresting thing, depends on the cop...

I have gotten a warning for 106 in a 45, 135 in a 55, and for drag racing 3 times in a row another car.

But I have been ticketed for following to close on the highway, I was going 86, semitruck was 7 car lengths ahead of me, I was supposed to have 1 carlength for every 10 mph I am traveling so 8.6 car lenghts.



Depends on the cop and the mood he is in. State troopers will never let you go though, best I ever got from a State trooper was got pulled over by a Camaro cop car, and he reduced 72, in a 45 to failure to observe traffic control device(speed limit sign)
