Care to share the story behind this? Did you sell it then buy it back or what? Either way nice 'vette. Glad you got it back.

It looks very clean. My friend has a custom license plate frame on his 2006 Corvette that says,"My Vette Makes Your Girl Wet" haha. A couple of months ago, i was going to pick up a 1981 corvette for $3500. I called the salesman and told him i was on my way to check it out but then he said, "sorry it has been sold". :(

Back then this mom & pop dealership was willing to sell me his personal 1972 Vette for $6500. I forgot the engine size but it runs pretty good. Just that the gauges don't work so we don't know the exact mileage, paint was faded, seats all torn to bits, and the tranny was going. I back down, but he ended up selling to a Corvette buff who was willing to restore it.

Nice yellow vette by the way. I always prefer that style of Vette over all of them.

It was living at your parents house right?

I like the pictures. What's going to sleep outside now?

She's sexy. And she's also old enough where it wouldn't be considered statchitory rape. Better keep a close eye on her or she might disappear into my bedroom :naughty:

My dad had a silver 77 and it was nice but I prefer the 78-82 with the fastback.

The sotry behind her is that when I found out I was going to Alaska with the Air Force I asked my dad to hold onto her for me. I was up there for 4 years and since I moved to Arizona now and with good weather and not alot of snow I went and picked her up.

Also went today to get my custom plates today. It will read... ITSSEXY! I think it fits.

Vanquish I now know to keep her away from you.:p

Where were you at in Alaska? Were you near Fairbanks or is that the Army base I'm thinking of?

He was in Elemdorph in Alaska if IIRC and there is a Air Force base in fairbanks but I forget the name of it.

Also, did you get royalty checks while you were in Alaska for the oil production there? Because, that's the only reason I would ever freeze my butt off to live there. At least I would look forward to them a lot.

I bet it didn't even exist. stealerships do that to get you to the lot then say they sold it, but get you to look at the other cars and possibly buy it.
