I have a friend who is blind-ish, I mean 20/200 vision. To look at something 20 feet away, to him it looks 200 feet away and that much smaller. So he cannot have a drivers license. He got arrested for, um, other things, and they sent him a letter suspending his drivers licence, which he never had.
I'm no longer under medical review ( We'll find out next year for sure ) and my dad told me that the lady at the DMV said they send it to everyone with restrictions. So in that case we aren't going to sue, but I would like to find someone with restriictions besides Glasses and see if they get or got the same thing
We just had a new guy come to the house I work at. He's actually from my home town. Anyway, he ended up having a stroke a couple years ago and now uses an electric wheel. He was showing me some of his stuff and he still has a valid driver's license. I wonder how long it will take for IDOT to take it away?
Depends on if they pull his file out and go " hmmmmmmm driver ........ electric wheelchair" *notification letter* Idk how other states DMV work, prolly faster then NC's
Quit b!tching, your disabled and its a precaution from the state...
Maybe you can drive but all disabled people cant
Normally I would understand it being a precautionary measure, but when a SPECIALIST and a regular doctor has written at the top of the page that says " IS NOT A PROGRESSIVE CONDITION "

Usually this just takes a note from the eye doc saying it's OK to drive. that's what a friend had to b/c he could not pass the DMV eye exam.
For me, the DR's just ask me how I'm doing with driving. I just tell them fine , I watch out how many meds I take before I have to go any where. I can take my first dose a be alright but my 2nd, 3rd and 4th dose I'm pretty much out of it. I also tell them I converted my car to a auto so it frees up the pressure on my left leg and back. I haven't put in for a handicap sticker or plate. My stroke affected my left side, which I'm left handed so that sucked. I also have spascity on my left side too,do to the stroke. Now I'm going through EMG's on my lower back since my discs are deteriorating and they can't do sugery on them. So they are going to stick needles in my back to see which nerves are afffected the most and I have to due pain mangement after that. Which I hope they will give me some relief. 5 Vicoden ES's with 1800 mg of Gabapentin and 2 mg of Zanax a day, still doesn't give me any relief. So unless I need a little rascel or something like that, I'm not going to tell DMV anything.

I don't blame you. After all you've been through you can still drive, I find that awesome, I hope everything works out for you, I don't have to worry about spascity or anything and my car is an auto so, that was a REQUIREMENT for me personally, and I also don;t have to worry about pain or pills or anything except a zyrtec everyday, which is for my allergies and I don't think it'll effect my driving any. The only thin I dislike about the DMV and they say they wont do it again but im not so sure about that, but I have had to do physical evaluations every yr since I've gotten my permit, and it doesn't bother me to do them because it lets me know how I am health wise, its just when I get letters like the one the other day sayin they've canceled my license when I haven't done anything to have them took. People say it's b****ing but they probably haven't had to go through all the red tape just to get to the license to have.
Not much going on, replaced my Kenwood double din stereo with a Pioneer double din, the Kenwood had problems. Then replaced my power inverter for my reverse...
