1928-29 Dayton Triangles (0-13): The people of Dayton hated the Triangles, and the Triangles hated the people of Dayton. Why? Was it because the players refused to shower after games, thinking it unmanly? The reasons are obscured by time. Things were fine in the first three years of the franchise, when the Tris played 16 of their 25 games at home. But during the next seven seasons, they played only five of their 50 games in Dayton. By the fourth week of the 1927 season they were told never to come back again. So, out of spite, they stopped winning games completely -- going 0-7 in 1928 and 0-6 in 1929, and bringing a brand of shame to Dayton that lingers to this day.

      Re: Cowboys vs. packers

Well I saw the Brett Favre from 2 years ago, sparatic passing, trying to make the big play, basically forcing everything.

I cringed originally when I saw Rogers come into the game, but to my suprise, he played well. In situations where Favre would have thrown up a prayer of a ball, Rogers either took the sack, or had room to run.

Our run game was alright, Ryan Grant continues to prove himself as a worthy back.

Packers secondary (shakes head) well it was just down right terrible. We were missing Woodsen for sure, and Al Harris, well I dont know what happened with him. He was playing very physical, but kept over running TO on routes, or losing him in cross coverage.

None the less, the game was entertaining, and though we lost, I think as a Packer fan, I feel a bit better about Rogers filling in for Favre when that time comes.

Any way you cut it they're the best in the NFC, and probably good enough to beat every single AFC team save the Pats (and Indy when they're healthy).
        Sure they are.

The NFC is up ONE STUPID GAME on the AFC, and thats solely because of the NY Jets and Miami. I have stood by the fact the AFC has the superior teams, but the AFC also has the two (possibly 3) worst teams in football with Miami, the Jets and Oakland. I think St. Louis could beat anyone of these three teams on any given Sunday. My point is, that for the most part, these NFC teams are playing other weak NFC teams. When it comes down to the Superbowl, NONE of the teams in the NFC will stand a chance. The Superbowl winner will be determined at the AFC Championship game, like it has been for 5 years now, and the AFC has been favored the last 6. The ONLY team to overcome the favorite was......

They just lost by 3 points to the Patriots, lol.

Cowboys got crushed last time they played the Patriots, expect the Super Bowl to go the same way.

One game is one game more than the AFC bud. Although i don't disagree that the second best teams in the AFC (Jags, Steelers, Browns) are better than what the NFC will fill their playoff spots with. Nor that the AFC will conclusively beat the NFC once again in the SB. But regardless, the NFC is alot closer to the AFC this year than at any time in the last 5.

Who did the Cowboys lose to (and lose BADLY to)? Thats right, a superior AFC team.

I never said they are better then the patriots.... they lost to the patriots who are the number 1 team and have beat everone else this season. The cowboys beat the undefeated colts last season and their only loss this season is to the pats who are undefeated. Divisions have nothing to do with this... cowboys are second best team and they beat the packers who you said would win... shows what you know about football.

and it was a blowout at the end... at one point dallas was ahead of the pats 24 - 21... the pats scored 17 in the last few minutes...

I dont think anyone is trying to say the Cowboys are better than that Patriots, that would be foolish. But at the same time, like Josh said, Cowboys did stick in there and gave them a good run. Bottom line is just because the NFC is a weak divison, dosnt mean the Cowboys are not a good team. Average or alright teams dont go 11-1. You do not luck into that, they are solid top 3 team in the NFL.

Top 5 maybe...not top 3. pats, Colts, and the Steelers are top 3, followed by Jacksonville. Cowboys are 5th at best.
