Never done them on the 3.8 but the 3.4 is a breeze. My LT1 is a biiiiotch to change. Remember kids, when replacing plug wires on a 100k+ mile opti crap to change the opti crap too.

Heat shields and log manifolds are a PITA to deal with. If the heat shields are off, its 10x easier. But with headers, I can do it in 10 minutes. With the logs....almost 1 1/2 everytime.
both my cars have stock manifolds WITH heat shields and emissions tubes
Getting the heat shields off the logs was probably the hardest part of doing the tubular swap. Took way too long and I eventually resorted to cutting the heck out of them.
