There was a stipulation on owning F40 when the F50 was produced.
I read an article that was saying there is only one guy who actually owns a F50, the rest of them are all on extended leases and they never did speed test because it was not allowed in the contract. The only guy that actually owns one did a huge favor for company and his reward he wanted was first F50 to be built but it was allready promised to someone else so he got the second. He let, I beleive it was Motor Trend, take the car out and the real numbers were not as good as the F40's numbers even though Ferrarri had said they were all better and the F50 was a superior supercar.
