Ditto what Smoke Panther said, and you'll have to check your state's laws for the maximum minors can work a week while in school it varies state to state but they all are under 30 hours as far as I know.
I know in michigan it's 20 hours, atleast back in 1998
its a "right to work state" which means the boss has the right to fire you for no reason what-so-ever
Minors can only work 30 hours a week, and not after 11pm on a school night. Summer, weekends, holidays are exceptions. Also if you have a GED, or diploma but still a minor can do it. Also some exceptions if its a work co-op program.
if its a state law... we have fired employees who sneak and work longer hours and skip breaks...
If I remember, correctly, for each violation we got a $1600 fine. We had one girl with 15 violations in one week.(dumbass **** too, only taking 20 min brakes instead of 30 min., or working 4.5 hours then going on break, supposed to be every 4 hours)
if we had been audited, $24,000 for one dumbass employee... thats double her salary in a year probably.
i worked 45 a week when i was in school, suck it up wuss.
Same here, 45-50 hour weeks my last 2 years of high school.
In Illinois I'm not if its under 18 or under 16, but you can't work more than 18 hours on a school week, 40 hours on a non school week. Most places don't really give a **** unless you have a problem with it, they can't fire you because of small availably.

We fire people, if they cut there availibility and piss us off. We have the right to revert back to the original availibility they were hired at, and is stated on their job application, if they can't do this, they are gone.
Weeds out employees, who are availible crap, because they got a new job, but want ot keep this one because they get free movie tickets.
Not much going on, replaced my Kenwood double din stereo with a Pioneer double din, the Kenwood had problems. Then replaced my power inverter for my reverse...
