Re: who do you want for president

unfortunately I feel that most presidential candidates do not offer anything good to the U.S. population, we have been forced as of late to vote not for who we want, rather who we "hate less" . Meaning that they all suck but since you want to vote for one u just vote for the less crappy one. Who decides who runs for the democratic and republican ticket? Politicians who have enough money to run, THEY decide that they want to run. So what we are left with is a compilation of butt ****ing losers. The American public should be able to vote for who they want to run, and then go from there.

haha. before this, i thought you didnt know what you were talking about. now its obvious.
"if someone doesnt like us, who cares."???????????
all i am going to ask is have you EVER studied foreign policy/international relations of any kind? its a basic principle. im not saying that we cater to other people. the point is that we can only go on so much longer relying on our power and intimidation to keep people on our side. right now we are saying that if countries want to be able to trade with us and such, they will put up with our shenanigans. if we continue at this pace, we will be out of the power picture completely in a short time. another country like china will jump in and take our place. we will be stuck having to actually adhere to guidelines about pollution and whatnot. no one will be happy!

And this is yet another reason why NJ sucks. Emmissions testing on vehicles every 2 years. NJ likes to follow in the footsteps of California. Taking your car to a certified garage for state inspection costs about $100.

True, but again, OUR tax money is paying for that. There are times when it's necessary and there are times the US needs to keep their nose out of other countries. This country doesn't need to play heroe everytime there is a foreign problem. We should be taking care of the people that live here first and foremost.

I think anyone who thinks that there are "power mongers" running right now needs to think about this. Don't worry about what this next presidency is going to do for you, worry about what it will do for us as a whole. Some of us need gov't intervention. Stop worrying about the freedoms you will lose, because there are people here now that haven't even had a chance to express those freedoms.
Umm 1st this nation was founded on Christian values and there are several direct quotes from the Bible in the U.S. Consitution.. See John Adams Biography.. 2nd Every President in US history has been sworn in on the Bible. 3rd there is no law in the U.S. Constitution or Bill of Rights that guarantees a sepration of Church and State. In fact there is no Law by definition that states such, only a couple of instance of Supreme Court citing of such an idea.. but no Law of the United States of America. 4th Everyone who is currently running for the Presidency of the United States desires the power of that office hence the term. 5th No freedoms should be lost by any US Citizen under any circumstance, as there are certain inalieable rights that all mankind share which are guaranteed by our Constitution... Also a little known fact.,. the Free Standing Tax structure by which our Federal Income Tax is based was never ratified by the States, therefore never entered into Law.... if you want to nit pick it is Taxation without Representation..but I'm not going to non pay my taxes based on it.. yes there was freedom of religion, but not exactly seperation of church and state at that point in our nations history. The founding fathers expressively felt God to be the focal point of this great nation. The pledge of allegiance sates "one nation under god"... money has "in god we trust" ..... people must swear on the bible before testifying in court. This nation used to be founded upon christian principals, while still allowing freedom of religion. Nowadays people are wanting to change that.

I never said ANYTHING about law at all. Never, not one time. A 500 word paragraph babbling about something I didn't say. In all honesty, I have no clue what the hell you are talking about, and is certainly irrelevant to whatever I was trying to relay.

But I will tell you this...the Constitution is not infallable, unwavering, or set in stone, hence the use of AMENDMENTS. There are only THREE freedoms you are outright guaranteed in this country, ONLY THREE, and they are set in stone. That is Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Everything else can be changed. The beauty of the judicial branch, so now your whole arguement stands on straw. But this interests me....

5th No freedoms should be lost by any US Citizen under any circumstance, as there are certain inalieable rights that all mankind share which are guaranteed by our Constitution
These are terms to describe ABSOLUTE FREEDOM, which is not the case for any country. No one has absolute freedom. Like I said, there are only three inalienable rights guaranteed in this country.

As for this country being founded on Christian beliefs, you're right, but it was built on Deist belief and reasoning.

i hope you know that the pledge of allegiance didn't have "one nation under god" until the 1900's. not sure about the money. another example of christian influences is on the courthouse in D.C. there is a bunch of images of Moses carrying the ten commandments. just my .02.

sure these things werent added until later but they were done so because our founding fathers based this nation upon christian principals
