    Re: Nissan GT-R

Yeah I'd take it. I could give two sh*ts if it's an import name plate and who builds it. I've got nothing against Nissan. It's also more exclusive than a vette in the sense they plan on building only 12,000. AWD? That'd be my winter car right there...

So your on a v6 f-body board... and your winter beater woudl be a 500hp $75,000 sports car. Get your priorities straight.

I didn't mean it that way. I was jokingly trying to make the point that you could use the car right through the winter also. Prob not so much a bright idea with a Vette.

If I started it with, "If I had the money..." would that make it better now? :p

Lets hope Nissan learned from the 350Z. I know they're not turbo'd, but they are pushed pretty much to the max from the factory. I could see them doing it though, making this thing pretty much maxed out from the factory

            Agreed.

            Also,

The ZR1 could be scary fast. Imagine a Z06 with more power  I'm sure they'll have it running 10.01s or close to anything a little above the 10 second mark. Is it going to have a roll cage from the factory?

point c) i really dont mind it.. remember that engineers designed these cars to be Mod friendly... basically when you buy one of these Imports youre actually thinking of modding it... but if youre gonna buy some of those Ford GT and porche ill prefer them to be bonestock.. in the end it will have a highr resale value if kept stock... longstory short.. for racing ill take an import.. but if im gonna go out find some girls ill take the porche or Murchielago

Now now 10 1's is alittle unrealistic for a production car. Its definately going to be better than 11 4's but don't know if it will be a 10second car or not its best to wait and see.

I wish they would have did a Twin Turbo vette insead of a Supercharged vette, Supercharging is great but thats alittle Mustang "Cobra-ish" if you ask me, I can remember growing up as a kid and see those nasty twin turbo vettes that Callaway or Lingfeilter used to build and its like man I wish they would have done that insead of another supercharged car you can get so much more.

Either way wait until somebody mods a ZR1:eek: and watch cars like the Veyron go:tdown:

I don't see what's wrong with car that are maxed out from the factory. The most I ever do on cars are intake and exhaust. I am actually GLAD that it's maxed out at the factory so that I don't have to do anything to it. I do understand your point that it's not easy/cost effective to mod (or you get little gains from modding) but there are a lot of people who likes to keep their car close to factory specs. After discontinuing of almost all cool sports cars/coupes (Celica, MR2, Camaro, Firebird/trans am, RSX, CL, supra, or even GTO) I was only left with 350Z or S2000 or RX8 (in my price range). Basically that's about it! S2000 lacks torque and Rx8 is f'ing ugly. So, basically there's only 1 sports car I was forced to buy which is 350Z (and also I think it looks better than the other two). I thought because of that, Nissan cashed in sh*t load of money off the 350Z.

That's some heritage to be proud of!!!!!!

but once again I'd take a C6 over that any day of the week
Haha, vette's made 140-160hp in the late 70's.
I'd drive one, probably a fun car, if I did not have to pay for it. They seem to move out from the vids i have seen, but we'll see what the production models will do.
