i love watchin hockey...i saw the game last yr when they did it and i thought that it was awesome that they could play a game infront of that many fans....awesome ending with the shootout

i thought the game today was really scrappy. i bet it was fun to play in, but it sucked to watch. not to mention i had to leave to pick my sister up with 3 minutes left in the 3rd, so i missed the shootout.

It was a sweet game...tough game for the players and goalies to be playin in that though...That weather changes alot of factors...puck bounces more, more likely to get injuries....def a fun game to watch though...

just so you know that wasn't the first game in the NHL that was played outdoors. The first was in 2003 in Edmonton with the Oilers vs. Montreal called the Heritage Classic. It was called that because before the official NHL game took place a few retired greats (who could still skate) from both Edmonton and Montreal played a game. Guy Lafleur vs. Gretzky...it was fun to watch. They had something like 55,000 as Canadian Football stadiums aren't quite as big as American stadiums. Yesterday's game was the first NHL outdoor game in the US. Philadelphia is talking about hosting a game next year also against Pittsburgh that will surpass Buffalo's 71,000 person attendance.
