Re: If you could RICE OUT a 4 cyl. Econo Car which will it be?
1994 Saturn SC1, only saturn I ever liked the looks of before the SKY (Opal ripoff.) Used to have one as a beater and I always wanted to do something with the extra foot of room on every side of the engine. Those where the days when I could do a full plug change in under 2 min. :D

'02 Cavalier LS Sport. Those 2.2 Ecotecs can handle some power and superchargers are fairly affordable for them. I also like the look of them better than most other 4banger cars.

kinda surprised no one mentioned a miata yet.. the older ones are gettin very affordable, and with their power to weight ratio, would be fun to drive...
(waiting for the inevitable 'but its a chick car' comment)
if i did own a 4 cylinder though, i'd like the turbo Sky, or an old school MG... but i wouldn't rice out either of em..
Phill

95 camaro... need money for turbo project...
94 S10 Blazer - winter beater - infinity system to be installed soon

\"The man who says it cant be done should not interrupt the man doing it...\"

My personal pick (and I own one) is a first generation Honda CRX Si. They are extremely light (1800lbs) and they handle awesomely for front torsion bars and a solid rear axle. They actually outhandled a Lotus Esprit back in the day. If you do an engine swap you can actually get pretty decent power for not much money.
