Using it for any conditions other than extreme (when you normally shouldn't be driving an f-body) is the only time it might be helpful. Other than that, it's something to give the driver a false sense of security. It is damaging to the tranny with extended use. You're starting out in second gear in an automatic transmission... In other words, don't use it unless you absolutely need to.
