So, after 10 years I got my first speeding ticket. About 3 blocks from my house. She got me on radar going 55mph in a 35mph. This was on DEC. 15th, I had dropped off my car at my Dads work to get the 3.73's put in and new bearings all the way around. I was driving my Dads 05' Buick Regal and I wasn't paying attention to the speedomter and I saw the 2 cops sitting down from me, I looked down saw my speed, tried to break as much as possible, but it was too late. Those Buicks drive pretty smooth didn't notice my speed( my fault). Get pulled over. She gets out asks what the speed limit was through there. I said " I think 45mph" she says no 35 mph. Then she asks how fast I was going I said " maybe 45 mph", she goes no I got you on radar at 55 mph. So I tell her I just dropped my car off to get some repairs done and this is my dads car. She goes back and writes the ticket. I was thinking I knew her from somewhere so she come back and asks me why I was in a hurry? I said " just trying to get home". I then asked her didn't you go to the police academy in class 51? She said yes, I told her I was in class 50( so our classes overlaped for about 4 months, we were the senior class).
She goes yeah I remember you did you get on anywhere, I said yes for the County but I had a stroke about a year and a half ago and now I'm on Disability. She goes sorry to her that heres your ticket I had to write it for 20 mph over, I said can you write it for 15 over she goes no. If you haven't had a ticket within 2 years call the # here which is the court #, and they can reduce your ticket and you can go to traffic school to get the ticket off your license if you haven't had a ticket in the past 2 years. I look at the ticket when I get home and the B!tch wrote it up as Criminal speeding. Which I know you can't call the court to reduce it. You have to appear before the judge. I called the court anyway and they said the same thing. So I was thinking about this Officer in the Academy and I remember she was always last in Physical Training which we always had to do push ups, situps and butterflys until they caught up to the rest of the class. I think we gave her and the rest of the slow group a very hard time during PT.
I think she was getting even with me for some reason or the other cop she was sitting with was a SGT. and told her to write the Criminal Speeding ticket. Anyway I appeared on Jan. 2nd, saw onw judge, then he refered me to another judge since it was a class 3 misdemenor and said I would meet with the city pros. So I'm waiting about 2 hours, talk to the Pros., I tell him what she told me and even pointed out where she circled the # for the court to call to get it reduced, I also told him what she wrote it for is wrong since the code she wrote it under" states that the vehicle must be moving greater than 20 miles or more" and my speed was 20mph exactly according to the ticket. I then said I don't know how compentent this officer is if she doesn't know how to write a speeding ticket. He goes how do you want to handle this then? I told him I know I was speeding, so I would rather just go to traffic school to get this off my record. He goes I'll accept that and run it by the judge and see if your traffic record is in good standing. So he did and after about 30 mins, they called me in and I got the information for the traffic school. It is only 4 hours long and I go on Jan. 13th.
My other buddies who are cops said she could have wrote it as a civil and been done with it, which I knew also. So they all said she F!ck ya.
The funny thing is she is still over weight and still has a mustach. F!cking D1ke. LOL, It's one thing to pull someone over but when you do, your supposed to listen to the driver then decide to write it, no other officer or Sgt, should influence another officer to write a ticket, esp. a ticket that is written wrong. I know I could of fought the ticket and brought her in for the hearing and made a fool of her but I know I was speeding so I took the hit for it. Sorry for the long post.
