    I did not end up with the firebird 400, but I did just get a 68 Chevelle; this will be my new project. What do you think?

              Dang, nice project car. I say paint it hugger orange and put some big DRs in the back. Would look real nice :tup:

                  friggin sweet! when i start doing project cars i hope to do a 71 chevelle. ever since i got a chevelle matchbox car that's what i've wanted to do. we actually got a couple 'round here. Good luck!

                    I owned a '68 SS396 back in the 70's.
                    If u think the engine bay is big; I used to xport my dirt bike in the trunk!
                    Hugger orange would be boss.
                    Watch the heater core.

                      you know I always thought those things where ugly but for some odd reason they are one of my favorite Muscle cars of all time. :) it will make for a great drag car.

                            how much did that run you?

                            I almost bought a 70 a few years ago for 2K, i really wish i did

                              a 70 chevelle is just one of those cars i want to own at some point in my life... thats got a lot of potential, keep us updated on it's progress!
