Re: Chrysler making a stupid move by Killing off the Viper

That's too bad. I always thought the Viper was a nice icon of American oversized engines and muscle in that class of cars. I hate to see any U.S. Automaker struggle.

Re: Chrysler making a stupid move by Killing off the Viper

what puts the viper at the top of everyones list (and obviously the reason is going to no longer be made) is its rarity. It was always slightly better than a vette, but you would see more vettes on the road by a long shot. Nobody could afford a viper. Same thing with a lambo, the difference with that is it comes with the prestige of being imported, itialian and exotic. Econ101- supply and demand, anything that does not sell will not be made.

I've always wanted a vette more, something about it just screams american more so than a viper.

With that said, the Viper was one of my fav cars :)

That's going to be an automatic "Classic Car." Plymouth is gone now, which means the Prowler is gone too.

Chrysler is no longer part of Mercedes from what I heard so they have a lot to lose now. They are trying to up there sales by offering "life time warranty" on most of their vechicles.

Plus the new gov. regulation of making cars 35mpg. So I guess the end of muscle cars is nearing.

i look at this new zr1 and think it is about freaking time, it is like the engineers woke up and said yeah we build fast cars but why cant we set the benchmark. everyone is gonna compare the zr1 to a ferrai or lambo until it comes out then it will be the other way arround.

Well Dodge has terminal cancer now its only a matter of time before they go under like AMC did back in the day.

Either way I could build a better car than the Z06 or ZR1 its called an Ultima GTR, it will be about as cheap but much faster than any production model vette made.

Chrysler killed off Plymouth, now it's dodge's turn, I think Chrysler is hoping to hope back on with benz or something

Hop back on with Benz? That's laughable. Do you even know any of the details why Benz sold Chrysler? It's not because someone called them up and made them an amazing offer. They needed to stop the red ink. Chrysler is now owned by a private equity firm. Benz propped them up, now they need to swim on their own. I must say that I am sad to see this go. I've had a chub for the new Viper since I saw the lime green one MTI is building. Sex.

                                What comeback?

The Kcar's are comin back!:naughty: The company is finished as we know it. Only a matter of time before we wakeup one morning to find out Chrysler has closed its doors forever.

Not even the Challenger or the Charger can save them now, watch they will have to cut back on the Ram, then the charger. They might as well be thinking of bringing back them Kcarz cause nobody will be going to their showroom floors soon including me.
