i ski.. been doin it for the past 15 years or so, but only a few times a year in the poconos.. took a few trips to mt. tremblant in canada during college, and just went to Sugerbush in Vermont for a few days after new years... I'm no expert but i'm good enough to do most of the slopes.. Fun as hell though.. I'd love to get out to the rockies one of these years and check em out..

Don't bother with West Mountain. Kind of small/weak.

I'm not a huge fan of Whiteface either. They really bank off that whole "Olympic Mountain" crap, but it gets packed quick and I think the trail selection kind of sucks. But seeing as I'll be getting free lift tickets, I can't complain...

You should really try Gore mountain though for something local. I think its the best in the close area. I've been to Jiminy before too and thats not so bad, but I def prefer Gore.

          Re: ski? snowboard?

I snowboard, but haven't gone in about 3 years.

I started with a board by Dukes which was unfortunately stolen. I now have a Burton board. I liked the Dukes better but it seems they have since stopped selling boards.

            Re: ski? snowboard?

I haven't been able to get out much lately. Last year I had a broken hand and this year there is no snow around here. I'm going to try to do a few long weekends this season and maybe head out west.

This is the only picture I could find online of my board:
