yea... Citroën is a small french manufacturer... not sure if they even run anymore... but here some info on that car in particular.
The Citroën SM was a high performance coupé produced by the French manufacturer Citroën between 1970 and 1975.
A total of 12,920 SMs were produced during its lifetime. The production figures for individual years were:
* 1970: 868
* 1971: 4988
* 1972: 4036
* 1973: 2619
* 1974: 294
* 1975: 115
The engines - always mounted behind the front axle were:
* 2.7 L V6 with Weber 42 DCNF carburettors, "C114-1" (170 bhp) (1970-1972)
* 2.7 L V6 with Bosch D-Jetronic injection, "C114-03" (178 bhp) (1973-1975 - Not available in the US)
* 3.0 L V6 with Weber 42 DCNF carburettors, "C114-11" (180 bhp) (1973-1975 - US only in 1973, rest of the world, automatic only in 1974 & 1975)
The SM was sold with a small, lightweight engine in various forms, designed from scratch by Giulio Alfieri but capable of being assembled on existing V8 tooling. Because of this the engine sported an unusual 90 degree angle between cylinder banks - a trait shared with the later PRV V6
"After the 1974 bankruptcy of Citroën, Peugeot took ownership of the company and in May 1975, divested Maserati. Peugeot decided to stop building the SM, as sales were minimal in that year." this answers what i thought earlier :banana:
citroen still exists. see loads of them on the road in europe.
it could... but i think i read that its owned by Peugeot...Peugeot, Citroen, and fiat are the only french car companies i can think of off hand actually

I wondered why those three cars were crap.
1995 Pontiac Firebird
2008 Chevrolet Silverado LT Crew Cab 4x4
aww... somebody doesn't like the french... ive never actually driven any of those three car brands... but i wouldn't say they suck..:)
edit: i was gonna say i like some of the Fiats, and i went to look some up to show you cool ones, but it turns out their Italian not french... sorry... i guess french does suck
Fiat owns Ferarri though... yeay them
and these cars arent made for america for a reason. in europe most people live in very densely inhabited cities. you want something small (parking spots are tiny, roads are narrow), cheap (going to get dinged up everywhere) and fuel efficient (gas is expensive as balls).
we had an audi a6 and a BMW 5 series. both of which were a pita to drive because they cost like $120 to fill up, and were hard to fit in many parking spots!
so its pretty pointless to say that any of these cars are crappy. its comparing apples to *******s.
2002 SOM Camaro- Sold
2006 S60- Sold
2000 Cherokee- The desert whip
I used to see them alot when I lived in Germany.. We would take trips to England driving through Belgium to Calias to take the Hovercraft to England, I'd see them alot in Calais.. My brother and I used to look for them specifically.. Oh well ..
2000 Firebird.. Whisper lid, Custom exhaust, FRA mod, MSD Coil packs, MSD wires, TCI 3000 stall verter, TSP mail order tune. No times as of yet waiting for the track to open
well after researching a bit... it looks like they had some pretty good technology back then. The Citroen company was very popular for having a steering wheel that didn't move when hitting pot holes and such... the headlights turned when you turned the car... and the braking system is still better then most cars today. Besides being really ugly, looks like an interesting car.
