It's ALOT of work to put a non LT1/LSX V8 in a 4th gen.

not to mention if you dont want to run a crank trigger ignition and feel the need to pull the distributor plan on pulling the motor. to be honest with you i dont believe you can even pull the cap and rotor without a big hole in the cowl/dash area...
edit: i just remembered the fact that i know a source of 5.3 ls series long block motors complete from throttle body to oil pan for $350. lower mileage, compression tested, and exhaust manifolds included... the harness and ecm or $700 eldebrock intake kinda hurts though.
