    Re: cloverfield

That movie was GREAT, only bad thing was that the actual movie itself got me a little dizzy, because of the camcorder point-of-view. Other than that, VERY good.

yeah what's the story line? do they have to kill the monster or feed it? or what?
or do they just run around the whole time and the story is pointless

                  Re: cloverfield

It was pretty good, but did get alot of people with motion sickness.. I'd say we gave out about 40 or so refunds for motion sickness and had 4-5 peopel puke from it.

but we did about 18,000 people the last 2 days, so the percentage wasn't so bad.

                    Re: cloverfield

I thought it was pretty pointless. Definitely had some awesome special effects and was pretty well put together, but i found the camera work to be not so much dizzying as annoying.
Not a bad movie but I don't know that I'd watch it again.

                      Re: cloverfield

i thought it was awesome cause no ones pulled off a 1st person camcorder movie well. the monster was a little different than that pic that was on here earlier.

The camcorder point of view kinda did make me slightly dizzy and gave me a headache, but what you need to do is sit farther back in the theatre. Sitting up close for this movie will SUCK.

                          Re: cloverfield

I think the first person view made the whole movie. If this was done like any other movie, it probably would have been boring. It really gave you a better experience this way. Well, if you're not prone to motion sickness I guess, haha.

                              Re: cloverfield

I went and saw it with a bunch of people and none of us really thought it was that good. Don't get me wrong, I liked the whole concept of the camcorder and the way the movie was done, but I think the 'story' was lacking. The one thing that kept me entertained was the fact that it reminded me of Half-Life.
