Not a bad movie but I don't know that I'd watch it again.
Agreed. And the ending sucked, there was no closure whatsoever.

I didn't like it. Effects and such were decent, but story line wasn't there. POV angle was something I kinda liked, but the story line just stunk. Basically, they took ideas from a bunch of other good movies, and threw them together hoping it'll flow. Left me asking a bunch of questions....

that ending left me soooooo rattled...I hate when they do that lol...was starting to feel a bit of motion sickness to, but the movie was pretty decent

            Re: cloverfield

Saw it and 10 minutes into it I felt dizzy.

The trailer brought more excitement than the movie.

The only part that had my really on the edge was when they were in the tunnel and switched the night vision on. Lets just say that could have made that scene killer, but it dropped the ball much like the rest of the movie.

            The ending was super disappointing...

Camera work was wicked in a bad way...had to step out or close my eyes to relax them. I kept thinking to myself what the heck dude was doing. My 3 year old niece does a better job.

I loaded my popcorn up with the liquid butter for about a minute straight as always. But it didn't work out for this movie, made me sick/dizzy/etc.

              Very good movie though.

At the end of the movie when it goes back to the scene of the ocean, did any of you guys see the alien fall into into the ocean all the way to the right of the screen? I couldn't see it but a few noobs did.

i thought it was great. and I like that it didnt really give complete closure in the end. I liked even more the thing they threw in after the credits. did anyone stay for it?

                    Re: cloverfield

theres just some like static and someone saying a few unclear words but apparently, if you play it backwards, it says its still alive.
                    so says the director
also, in the last little flashback thingy with the dude and chick sitting there talking and laughing, theres something in the water just for a single frame. I thought i saw something but had no idea what it was but the director said theres something hidden there but wont say what it is.
                    dang.
also, at 2 parts in the movie they hide the "dharma" symbol from lost. (same director)
with lost and now this. this dude blows me away

stephen king also says the "the mist" is a "sort-of" prelude to cloverfield. that makes me a little mad cause now i have to see the mist. anybody see that one?

                          Re: cloverfield

i saw it and i would be very suprised if that was true, seeing as the mist was a book first and written awhile ago.

stephen king said it. thats the only reason i gave it any credit. did you like that movie anyway?
