I guess I'll just let the internet decide! I lost my job in November and it's kind of put me in a weird place. I'm back at home, and debt free. Thusly, I haven't found myself inclined to find a new job. I'm tired of being a cubedweller, having spent 9 years in the mortgage industry. Also, I kinda want to move away from Chicago. What should I do? Where should I go?

You want to trade places? I've got enough debt, a job I loath but need and go to school 5 nights week for another 4 months. Really just PM me, I'm sure we can work out some way to trade identities. Just be thankful your in that position and go **** with anything that moves if I were you.

When I was in your situation, I went back to school, got a degree, got married and had kids. It did wonders for me, but it's definitely not for everyone.

Come on kids. You can do better than that. I'm 27, so that kinda rules out military service. School........ I was never a fan. I'd look a little silly as a 27 year old freshman, and doubt I could get enough grants to go for free.

I started school when I was 30 on a grant. Almost paid for my entire degree.

It was actually a pretty good time in my life. If you've never been to college, it's nothing like HS at all.
