Well, now I'm finally convinced after all these years.... SPEED KILLS. Too bad it was the car. Kinda funny though that the guy wanted his car to be so super fast that it pretty much self-destructed when driven. No other alternative than to sue the company, but if he signed some kind of waiver he may be in trouble. Also, I'm thinking that most judges would laugh about this. I mean, c'mon, someone goes to speed shop to get fast car built dangerously fast, then speed shop builds said dangerously fast car and crashes it. Have fun with that one in court....
Damn, should have picked it up as soon as the work was COMPLETE. That thing was so nice in the first pic.
I honestly doubt a judge and jurors would find this funny. Even if she did sign something that stated the shop was not responsible for damages, im sure she can still take action. On account of negligence.
id imagine the damages thing wouldnt include some idiot taking the car out for a spin all day and totalling it. usually that small clause would be for them taking the car out for a quick test drive, not a ****ing cruise around town for the weekend.
current car- 95 Trans am- bolt ons, parked and collecting dust. why? because **** it

I would venture that's true. There should be a police report stating the time/date of the accident. Since it's obviously going to be outside of working hours, and obviously not work related, the shop's fine-print doesn't apply. As such, the shop owner and the mechanic are legally responsible and I doubt the shop's insurance would cover it once they discovered it wasn't a work related use.
if the shop owner was smart, he would reimburse her for the damages... he is about to lose way more than the repair/replacement costs of that car in the form of lost business

He's already lost more business than the car's total cost (mods and all).

From the middle of the thread "The accident happened 30 miles away from the shop in a different county(Wake County). Jeff's shop is located in Durham. His employee was in the process of taking his daughter to school..hence 2 head impressions in the windshield."
This reminds me of a time I picked up my old bimmer from the shop. The onboard computer kept a tally of my MPG per tank of gas. It typically read 24 +/- 1 for every tank. I did not notice it at first (therefore, I had no case), but the reading for the tank when the car was in the shop was 8! Someone seriously beat the piss out of my bimmer for an entire tank of gas. I was pissed and called and complained, but of course, no proof.
Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
