  • I'm new-ish!

Good Morning fellow V6 Camaro/FB owners. My name is William and I live in the rather barren state of Oklahoma. Although I'm 19, I am in the Navy and attending full time at the University of Oklahoma. I am the proud owner if a 2000 3800 Camaro with all the options except the T-top (pics to come soon, as I lack the time and the weather will not permit a good time outside). I have owner this beast for about 3 months now; I had a '95 3400 Camaro before it eventually died after 238K miles and I could not repair it due to the fact that I was leaving for boot camp a couple weeks after is died. Current mods include a 45 series flowmaster exhaust system and a twin plate clutch. I look forward to being an active part of the V6 Cam/FB forums, and thanks for letting me be here!

    -William (ISSA - USN)

            Re: I'm new-ish!

I'd love to take a few pics, and even a short video clip, but the car is rather dirty. I'm going to be washing it on Friday due to the fact that a snow storm is due in tomorrow, and its a bone chilling 38F outside.

            Car description - 2000 Camaro 3800 series II V6
            Exterior - Pewter
Interior - Black leather (wicked comfortable)
            5 speed manual
            16in snowflake rims
            100025 miles on the odo
            Purchase price - $5755 from a dealer
No known problems with the engine, transmission, and NO BODY DAMAGE!

The only mods that I know of:
            45 series Flowmaster exhaust
            Clutchmasters twin plate clutch

Mods to be done after my sign on bonus (hopefully I get it tomorrow:banana: ):
            SS hood_____________________________
            SS tail_________________________________
            Black ZR1 rims and tires_____________________
            Ram-air intake_______________________________All on stand-by order
            Turbo/SC (whichever I find first)
Tokico 1.5in lowering suspension (medium-hard springs)
            1.5 way LSD
T-56 6speed Manual swap (if possible)

My 1995 3.4 I had before I left for boot camp was a 5 spd with custom straight pipes I put on the car myself, a venom racing chip, and I redid the intake to take air from the high beam head light area. The only problem with it was the air filters kept getting crap in it. I thought it was a unique concept, but it had its flaws because it was my first attempt at a major modification like that.

My Camaro, nicknamed Harkonnen, as dirty as she is...sorry about the quality.

Harkonnen alongside a Dodge Ram SRT/10 I had the privilege to drive as a valet (6spd manual, it was AWSOME!)

Yeah, no kidding. We're at -15 right now with a -24 wind chill.

damn...thats pretty bad. Better pics will come when the next winter wave blows through tomorrow, or, we may get lucky and get snow to stick, making for better pics!

I am at Michigan Technological Univeristy in Houghton Michigan. Today we had only the second snow day in 25 years. It is -35 out with the wind chill and snowing. I really wish it was 38 out. My Camaro is almost completely buried in snow. :(

Hmm...then I guess I'll use the money in the budget to convert to a T-top.
