-97 Firebird or 98+ Camaro?

I'm thinking about purchasing another f-body that has to be my DD. Now GM Europe imported from 93-97 only Firebirds and T/A and from 98-up only Camaros, thats why the title says so.
First I thought about a 6-speed T/A or Z28 but I think for the daily commuting the V6 should be really enough since they run very well from what I found out during a testdrive. :)
Now given the same mileage (most are at ~50-60kmiles) is there something thats better/worse between the two?
I'm looking at 5-speed 3.8s.

Go with the camaro. the V6 birds look like poop IMO

98 + LS1 V8 Camaro, better or equal gas mileage than the V6

93-97 trans ams look sweet, but the firebirds are ugly

No love for the Firebirds? I think they don't look that bad (until the headlights go up...)
There is a '95 T/A 6spd also in my area. How do the LT1 compare in gas mileage.
LS1 6spd are hard to find here. Most of the Z28 are autos here.

I'd go for a 00+ camaro. Things were improved and they are better looking than pre 98 firebirds imo.

i would go for the camaro... but other than being newer, and the little things that come along with that, i guess its more a personal preference

can't say i agree with you, even in the US, camaro = more popular yea, but not like the stang... but we are talking about Europe here... pretty sure most cars are tiny little things

99 Z28/LS1/A4/3.23's mpg = 23ish combined, 28ish hwy

94 Trans Am/LT1/A4/3.23's mpg = 14ish combined, 18ish hwy

14mpg? negative! they should get 18 or so city and 23 or so highway with 3.23s. if its a 6speed he should get better than that for obvious reasons.

forgot to add that T/A has a cam and is not tuned right now :)

either way LS1's kick *** on gas mileage and are pretty much god
