So I was talking to a friend of mine and she starts telling me that she knows a girl who owns a 6 foot python...not sure what sub-species exactly. Anyway a while back the snake stopped eating...she'd give it live mice, but it wouldn't eat them...the snake would just ignore the mice. This went on for a little while and so the girl decided to take the snake to the vet. The vet tells her that its probably nothing serious and just to keep trying to feed it but if it fails to eat after another month to come back. So she goes home and keeps trying to feed it...a month goes by and its still not eating. So she brings the snake back to the vet. The vet is pretty confused...so he asks her if the snake has been doing anything else weird lately. She tells him that the snake's behaviour has been pretty normal except for one thing...she sleeps with the snake every night and normally it curls up at her feet, but that lately it had been sleeping beside her lengthwise. After she tells that to the vet he informs her that they have to kill the snake immediately, so she's like, wtf?
According to the vet the snake wasn't eating because it was fasting and that it was laying lengthwise beside her in bed because it was sizing her up to eat her. Apparently it haden't attempted to eat her yet, because it wasn't hungry enough.
