a fast could start for any amount of reasons..... i have had my snakes go of food for 344 days before it even tried for food again... some times thats just what they do...
first off the snake would never measure up food lol.. they would kill you start eating you and if they found you were to big for them. they would just back off of your body.......
second. the reason the snake was laying the length of the person is because it was thermo-regulating.. the snake was using the persons body like a human heat-pad..
for the fasting.. depending on the species i will bet my life that the species was a Burmese python they will go off feed certain times of the year to prepare for breeding seasons. or hibernations.
and sleeping with a snake... thats what causes all these "federal bans on pythons" ...
ok now after the snake spins in the circle see how it starts to arch its back and move all slow... that is a male corn snake... he is rubbing all over the cage trying to make his scent all over for a female.. typical breeding behavior

That would be a stupid myth. Even a 30 foot retic wouuld have a hard time getting past the shoulders of a full grown human. The reason it didn't eat is because well it was a python and a lot of them do that. I had a 5 foot ball python that went 18 months, yes 18 months without eating. The record I believe is 20 or 24 months. They will sometimes not be acclimated to their enviroment, something will change and they will not eat till reacclimated. I've heard of that before and it's plain crap. Just think about the physics of that and also the size. Their stomach doesn't run from the head to their ***. My python I have now is about 2 feet long and if she puts down 4 mice now she would be lucky.
