Yeah, that Tahoe or was it Suburban was wrecked.

For a science fiction it was an OK show. I probably wouldn't watch it again. It's not like the first where to be a kid watching this in the '80's was very cool. Nice to see the tune port engine though.

One thing is for sure, a lot of the Mustang fans would love this show. I personally think that the new Camaro should have been KITT. Imagine the light scanner beaming at the air vent.

As for the car and the voice. If I was given a GT500KR, I'D KEEP IT! And you all would be stupid not too! Limited edition car, fast and not a "penis car" cough*vette*cough.

Val Kilmer as the voice, that will have to grow on me.

These two post pretty much some up my opinion. I was against it but after watching it I'll watch again. I'm a car fan and seeing any car doing burnouts around a college campus is cool in my book. So Mustang or not I'll be watching it.

the show was :( i also think it was to much blue oval. why did they need to use a production car ? why not make a t/a from some good car builder somewhere... (the batmobiel) it was not a real car and it worked it has been around for along time

yea my brother loved the show, and i hated when they kept doin close ups on the emblems, really got annoying......it would have been better for a camaro but who knows if they could have even gotten one and then made it look like KITT......as for the mustang, didnt like the change but better than turning KITT into a jap car (seeing that on other sites people would have liked it)

              example:

Yeah, you're right. Instead of using a Japanese car they used an American car. You know come to think of it, I'm more disappointed with Fast & Furious movie than this movie. At least here the hero was the American car, in FF the American were as good as a wrecked car.

Yeah, you guys are right too. In the first KITT they didn't advertise it as a TA. As a matter of fact, anything associated with Pontiac wasn't even there. In the '80's show they called KITT as a "black T-top."

This show was not even a strong departure from the Stang. KITT back then was unique. I mean talk about a car that set up the standards of today's cars: a car that parks itself, use of GPS navigation, use of led lights, a car that response to your voice, and TV monitor. The only thing KITT didn't have back then were air bags. --- Pretty cool in my opinion.

Imagine being a kid wayyy back then and reading "Flash Gordon" and "2000 League" I mean we've done that. Who knows, 10 years from now when we watch a rerun of the '80's KITT we could say, we've done that totally.

not a fan, the girl was pretty nice to look at, but like bibber said, it was pretty much one big commercial for ford... i could have done without the constant 10 second reminders that it had badges on it

                      Re: Knight Rider 2008

Well, I saw the new Knight Rider TV movie last night and boy, was I disappointed. I think Mustangs are ok, but they don't look futuristic at all. If they HAD to use a Ford, they should have used the Ford GT, not a retro-looking Mustang.

The new KITT is not as advanced as the old KITT. Remember the first chase scene when Mustang KITT was running through the college campus sending students running for their lives? Some kid was walking on the path and the new KITT swerved to avoid him. The old KITT would have just turbo-boosted over the guy.

Then there's the chase scene up in the mountains, and all the new KITT could do was drive fast and try to avoid the bad guys chasing him. The old KITT would have microjammed their brakes, used the oil slicks, or smokescreen.

Last, the new KITT is only impervious to bullets if the computer is online. Once the computer is shut down, KITT loses the ability to deflect bullets. The old KITT was bullet- proof whether or not the computer was functioning. It also seems a lot easier to hack into the new KITT than the old one.

                      Basically, the new KITT sucks.

I guess I will have to satisfy my Knight Rider cravings with my 4-volume Knight Rider DVD sets.

im sorry but were in the 21st century... seeing these kind of tricks is so predictable already.. instead of saying NICE! You would be saying... What the Hell? Those tricks only works in the 80's... instead of those it shoud've had a portable Lockheed Martin Predator.. that the army use for light tanks... basically its a fire-and-forget kind of weapon...

well for the new one they made sure it was REALISTIC... basically the car was Coated of nano-tech material *the ones discussed where they were in the classroom* because on the old one.. it seemed that the whole car was made out of kevlar or something... or maybe a tanks metal sheet... and the reason the new KITT is vulnerable to hacks is because the enemy had stolen a hard drive from the creator of the car which made a huge difference... making the enemy SMARTER than the old ones...
