Would you buy 200k mileage maro?

My cousin works with a guy looking to sell his 30th Anniv. RS Camaro for $3k. He says its his daily driver and he drives 40 miles one way to work and it drives fine. It also has 197,xxx miles on it!!! I havent seen it yet, but I plan to look at it and drive it tomorrow. All I can think of is all the major repairs that might be coming up...what do you guys think?

the motors can handle 200k easily....but, even for a 30th RS that quite a bit

before my bird now i got a 95 w/107xxx miles on it and it was only 3300...... i'm sure, if you're in the market for another car, that you can find one around the same price with way less miles than that.

Yeah, I know the engines are good for it and 3k is a lot. The guy has 3 car notes and wants someone to take over that one. He has 12 payments left which equals 3k. The only reason I'm considering is bc I miss my 30th like crazy and I just love camaros!! I have a 77 c10 that I'm slowly trying to rebuild and it would be great to have another car to get from point a to b. But I respect you guys' advice so that'll play a huge part in my decision. Ill let u know how it turns out when I take a look at it later on today......

I really think you should pass on that deal, you can find a lower mileage RS for less than that. I gaurantee it.

$3,000 is way too much money for a 200K mile V6 car, Badinfluence bought a lower mileage LS1 for half that price.

Down here in FL, you could get a decent LT1 that needs a tranny swap for that price :)

Alright guys I asked and u answered! Thanks for your responses. I've been looking on autotrader and can't seem to find a good deal. All the $3k f bodys I've seen down here are in need of engines, trannys, or major body repair. And I don't want 2 project vehicles at this time. I'm gonna go ahead and tell the guy no thanks and just keep workin on my truck.
Anyone in dallas got a engine for sale? 350 or 454?
