Think about which one you can imagine yourself in on a friday night.
Well, that's easy. If it's warm out, the convertible with the top down. Absolute freakin' heaven. How much do you think I can get for this sexy thing? ;) (cell phone pic)
Maybe I should continue to look for a C6 convertible and stick with that plan. ?
yeah i wore the fronts out now i have reg street tires on the front
the rears, well i hated how the car swayed back and forth from the bias ply so i ripped them off and now run the MT DRs....they are the only way to go!!!

Everyone raves about the MT DR's. 10.99?!?! NICE!! I'll hit some local shows and of course the Wildwood weekend. Anything good this year? Island? Englishtown? Let me know... :) BTW, the car looks great. I put black Z06 motorsports on mine too. :)
You should sell the eclipse, keep the 96, keep the 02 (DD), and buy the vette.
Yeah, I thought of that.. I need the front wheel drive in the winter though. And the 02' is way too nice for the ****ty commute I have to endure every day. It would get destroyed. My Eclipse is taking such a beating. I've already been hit with large rocks off of a truck, a huge iceberg off of a car, and about a million stones. My windshield has chips all over it and I've only had the car a year now.
my vote is for the camaro. to be honest...i drive an 02 vette vert alot...but once your in the car, it's very much like fbodies. there are many things about the interior that i don't like. i just can't put my finger on it. but then again i would spend the money just for the name:banana:
What color is yours? The lemans blue is beautiful but I'm thinking it's basically a "man's color". lol.. Btw, 31K is not bad at all for an 04 vert. I want this car to be the right one and I'm glad everyone chimed in with suggestions. And no, this place did NOT have a carfax for me to look at. I thought that was odd. That's definately something I ALWAYS check.
What was your MPH when you ran the high 12's at the track? Do you remember?
I think I spent more for my new vette, than average price, but its was what I wanted. I tried to match it to my 79 vette as much as possible (other than it being a vert) and I could of found one out East for cheaper but then I have to worry about chances of rust and getting it back to AZ.
When I hit the 12's I was around 107-108 MPH depending on what RPM I launched at and the air pressure. I think it could of been faster but I have 2.73 in the car.
I'd try to knock $2-5k off the price, especially since it has some body damage.
Or get killer trade in.
but I agree, I wouldn't buy a car worht more then $5k off a "used car lot" and carfax the *****...
Alot of the people that say, that, you should save for a ls2, or Z06, have not driven a regualr 6-speed C5, or even better a modded C5. Its an ls1 the sky is the limit with horesepower. Or you could go out buy an LS2, for $10-15k more, or have a C5, with $5k in mods that is faster then a ls2, and turns more heads, because, well its a cool color, and modded. Something you don't see on vettes often. Unless of course you are worried about the "status" of having the "new" corvette, but I doubt that since you didn't trade your V6 f-body for a Ferrari.

I'm thinking about offering 25k for it. A good way of wheeling and dealing is pointing out some things you "don't like" even if you actually "do like". haha.. Oh, it's not a Z06? damn... Oh, it has light interior? I wanted dark...damn... Oh, I really wanted a RED one...damn.. well, you get the point. It works. :D
The Corvette is going to hold it's value much better than the Camaro ever will. And although I love the convertable to death, it's value is decreasing by the day... :( Retail is like 15K for it (what a dealer would ask) but trade is like 11K. Sucks, cuz I put at least 5 grand into it. Wheels/tires, carbon fiber doorsills, intake, new paint on the gfx, stb, wind deflector, front grill, halos, chrome letters... god the list goes on... I "could" however, use the Corvette as a "stepping stone" and probably sell it for more than I paid, and eventually go back to a convertible someday. As for the Ferrari, it needed too much work...too many things were broken on it and it's a money pit.

A few of my friend's have said the same thing about the Corvette. It's just like the Fbody. I like the C5 interior. It's decent. (My husband has one). We would actually sortof have "matching ones" I guess. His is torch red. We put racing stripes on it. I'm familiar with them and have driven them. I guess all the hype is the name. We get compliments everywhere we go in his. But then again... the Camaro convertible gets a TON of compliments too. I wouldn't be in this predicament if I didn't get "attached" to my cars. I need to become a collector.
Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
