  • Chevy SB Vs. Ford SB sound...how?

I've had a question that keeps bugging me. I want to know the answer to it, so I figured I'd come here and someone here would be able to tell me. Compare the sounds of a 350 Chevy SB and a 302 Ford. I can be walking around somewhere and hear a V8 Ford rev in the distance and know that it's a Ford by the sound. Both Ford and Chevy V8s sound great, imo! Why is it that Ford engines have a distinct sound to them?

I think most will agree that the ford small block has a more "distinct" sound.

what I think is cool is... 5.0s, 4.6, 2valves, 4 valves and 3 valves all sort of sound similar but there are some major differnces in all of them.

4 valve 4.6L FTW in the sound department.
