    probably would want to do lifters not sure what else

        weight reduction isnt really a project... i want a big project...something that will piss me off but ill be happy to finish in the end (like my conversion lol)

          If I were you, I wouldn't mess with a cam swap because the cam is the heart of the engine. You lose reliability if you would tweak it. The factory cam, to me, is pretty decent. So you have a budget of $1k-2k? You could lower the gear in your rear axle if you haven't already done so. It's a good mod and it takes advantage of existing torque. I'm with the guy that said weight reduction. Power-to-weight ratio is important if you are talking about speed. I don't know what else you could do. What are your existing mods?
