What do you mean a $10k difference... if anything they cost less... I was looking at them and they were in the $15-16k range for a nicely loaded v6 5-speed.

my 2k was $15k and was considered a deal in in 2k new.

Pretty much the same, except a dollar today is not worth the same a dollar in 1999 was.

SO technicallyy they are cheaper. Unless you are comparing used vs. new, which is just flat out retarded. Because you look you can find an lt1 for $2k and romp both of them.

new v6 stang is much more refinded then a 4th gen was.

just saying that you can buy a 2005 Mustang V6 and get the same performance(pretty much) as buying a 1997 Firebird V6 for 10 grand cheaper.

except you have a car that is nearly a decade newer, has more value, less wear and tear on it, better paint, less dings, longer life, safer, better suspension, more hp, better sound system, better interior, less rattles and squeks, and well looks like a modern car, not what a modern car looked like back when bush senior was president, and fresh prince of bel air and Zach Morris were cool, and a badass computer was a 286, with 4 megs of ram and dos.

Sorry Fresh prince of Bel Air and Zach Morris are still cool

hell the only reason I didn't get a v6 Mustang(which was about the same or cheaper then my G6), is that once the v6 Camaro, and V6 Challenger come out, both probably pakcing about 250 hp, the v6 Mustang will bump their motor up to be around the same.

Making an '07 V6 Mustang as cool as a 94-98 v6 mustang with 45 less hp, then newer mustangs. Then which the value will plummet like a rock.

I'll point this out one more time, these two engines you are talking about are WAY WAY WAY different. The only similarity is cubic inch displacement, nothing more.

How can you say the new mustang looks like a modern car when its entire designing crux is that it looks like an old car?

yes i know what you meant, i'm just pointing out the irony

I would still get the Firebird or Camaro instead of that retro=ripoff. It's still much nicer looking.

Considering that Ford technology just now caught up with GM tech of the mid 1990's, I wouldn't call the stand more refined, more like well overdue. As for the price, dealerships are doing what they can to get cars off the lot, and the manufacturers aren't complaining one bit. They will lower the overhead on these cars to get them out the door, even taking $10k off the sticker to do so.

V6 Mustangs suck its best you buy a V8 if your going stang never touch a V6 because its the same POS motor they use on the Tarius.

I wonder if someone on a mustang board somewhere is saying...

v6 f-bodies suck, its best you buy a v8 if your going F-body never touch a v6 because its the same POS motor they use on the Grand Prix.

how would you say Ford technology "caught up" with GM technology of 90s? I don't understand how you came to this conclusion.
