Anyone else think it's funny how are cars are comparable to the 2005 Mustang V6's in quarter mile and performance. seeing as our cars are at least 3 years older, this makes me smile.

even with 96 and up F-bodys the numbers are very similar with the ford have more hp, but they are also boats . Car & Driver Tests found 2005 Mustang V6 time 15.3, 1997 Firebird 15.5 in the quarter mileLast edited by eatmydust97; 02-28-2008, 10:14 PM.

funny I have seen stock 5-speed Mustangs in the high 14s.
seems the faster stockish v6 f-bodies are in the low 15s
and I bet if I look it up the fastest v6 mustang is faster then the fastest v6 Mustang(not including the Harry Doolittles)

ive seen a LOT of stock 5 speed stangs doing high 14s. a few things like swapping in a gt exhuast and intake and a retune and theyre good for mid 14s no problem. so i wouldnt say they are slow.
