After a long wait, dropped my car off today for...

Magnasound cat
Magnasound catback
WS9 Ram Air hood
Alluminum driveshaft

Gonna be without her for 2 weeks, then when I get her back I'm putting on

WS6 airbox
Blaster coilpacks
getting an HP tune done
tint
LED underbody kit
side vent neons and neons in the ram air
Z28 front swar bar with poly bushings
Moog LCA bushings(K, I'm not really doing this one myself, can't press them on my own)

It's like getting a whole new car, only better! Of course, now I've got the expensive decisions to make, but damn if it ain't fun!

wow... sounds awesome... gonna sound and look great... sounds like it will preform pretty good too :) lucky... wish i had money... if ya don't mind me asking, how much did you spend on all that parts + labor...?

I have a friend who does alot of artwork, he's good enough that he has sold some of his work on Rodeo in a clothing line.

I've got him doing a slightly modified Firebird emblem on the hood with Trufire highlights, and the airbox will be done in Trufire with the word Firebird. Nothing ricey, sticking with the traditional stuff.

The modification is that bloody tongue that sticks out, I can't stand that tongue, it'll be closed mouth.

Well!

I dropped around $900 for the exhaust, cause I used the jet coating cause I'm sick of replacing wires every 6 months. The Ram Air hood I got for about $500 on E-bay from U.S. Exotics. The tune is going to run me around $150. Got the driveshaft for $100 on E-bay. The coil packs were $50 apiece. Bushings and stuff I got on Summit, ran around $100 I think. It'll be about $400 when I'm done with the lighting, counting the wires and stuff.

Install for the exhaust is $400, the driveshaft is neglible, it's only 5 bolts. Woulda done it myself if I could've gotten under the car.

The paint job? 4k. But that includes alot of stuff like some stripes, opposing color lettering/emblem, the base coat for the airbox, painting the valve covers, painting the calipers, some minor repair work. It's also a full color change, going from Purple to Blue with Black highlights.

The custom graphics? Not sure yet. We haven't figured out the final price yet.

It hasn't been cheap, but I'm sitting here thinking, "Ok, I have no girlfriend and decent car they don't make anymore, and I've always dreamed of coming up with something really sweet. I can take the hit, do it now while I'm young enough to enjoy it, or I can wait till I'm 60 and think speeding is hitting 35mph. Hell with it, I'm blowing the money now!"

I'd say probably around 50% of the hood, maybe a little closer to 75%. Filled in. We're still working out the particulars, he's been sick all week so I've still gotta get him in the shop tomorrow to get his final opinions.

I'm not artistic, I'm a programmer(Well, will be in 2 semesters), so I kinda figure that I'd give him the general idea of what I want and then take his proffessional opinions from there. So I gave him the general idea and now I'll take him up and let him see it so he can make judgements on what'll end up looking best.

I say, stay single, buy a woman once a week, and deal with the purple.. you could always get a stuffed Dinosaur for the back seat.. hahaha, cant wait to see the car man. again, congrats.
