a few weeks ago there was a thread started about the new eclipse. It didn't come across as a great buy...but what are some opinions on the previous model? I'm looking at a 2003 Eclipse Spyder with 90k miles, 4 cyl, 5sp manual for about $9000 Cdn. Just to give you an idea of what the market is like around here...I could reasonably expect to get at least $3500 for my 94 3.4 auto and $4,000 for an 01 Saturn L200 (fully loaded, no leather).
I know it's not quite as masculine as my Camaro, but what are your opinions?
I like em, but those ones do look like a chicks car...repo depo used to be plagued by those things...personally if I were to get an eclipse I'd get a 1999, I love that body style of em....what are you looking to get out of this car?
they are my favorite generation of eclipse, if i was to get one it would be that style..."Eclipse GS Spyder: Convertible FWD model equipped with a 150 hp 2.4 L [the only spyder model with a 4 cyl.]" from wikipedia. i think torque is 158 ft-lbs
so... i wouldn't mind having one... but its not my personal style of car... ive also heard bad about them too though, my gf has a 93 gs... and its not the best... and (i think it was) kala just made a thread about a new one that couldn't even take one day of beating on... but that said, i think it would be nice, and if you wanted one, you should get it... i would take one :):tup:
not sure why there were soo many there...repo depo is just cars that have been reposessed and are now for sale. The fact that there were soo many there though did turn me off...I used to go once a week before I got my car, and I would always see atleast 4-5 of them in there. heres some reviews on the car if it helps any http://www.epinions.com/auto_Make-20...splay_~reviews
not very powerful for there size, I just think the spyder style itself is a bit girlish...like I said the style in 1999 is a nice style and doesnt look girlish at all.
Letzride...what's your experience with repodepo? I was considering a Nissan X-trail from them a few months ago. I was kind of turned off by the fact that you can't drive the car before purchase and there's absolutely no possibility of refund or guarantee on the car if you get a lemon. Would u or have u done business with them?
my mom almost bought a car there....but my mechanic made a good point to me though...most of the cars there were repossed because people could not afford them...so if they couldnt afford the car, they probably couldnt afford the maintanince on them as well...which probably means lack of oil changes, etc, etc, etc...I do have a friend that bought a honda prelude there 2-3 years ago and he hasnt had any problems... his car had 100+K on it...personally I wouldnt really reccommend buying from there, UNLESS you found a car with really low milage on it...like a car with 6000k...it doesnt really matter if they couldnt afford maintenance and didnt do it cause not much had to be done...

buhahhahah NOT me, it was str8racer98 ... I would rather walk or use my bicycle than drive an eclipse.... (to the OP) If you buy that car, make sure you set up an appointment with a local surgeon to get your "sex change" surgery too.
wow, that has to be the record for most miles on a car EVER
6000k = 6,000,000
and for those of you who are slow....6 MILLION MILES
he knows what I mean...6000k...6000 KILOMETERS k=kilometers....get it right man, common, were ahead of the times over here...get outta the stone age with your stupid imperial system and switch to metric already lol j/k....metric is better though...
Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
