The gas price in Sweden are slightly higher than yours :)
$2 a litre, that makes almost $8 a gallon. Most of that is taxes.

slightly!!! dude that price is really high, but it all depends on inflation over their and all that stuff i think, if im wrong then i just feel sorry for u
When I was in Iceland in 2002 it was about 6 bucks a gallon. We always filled up on base before we left where it was like 2 bucks a gallon or something

You are right about that, the swedish crown is strong against the US$ nowdays but it's still a very high price. Most of it are taxes which are used for keeping the roads in good condition, free healthcare etc. so the money isn't wasted. But it's still a crazy price.

I filled my car up an hour ago, 13.20 kr per liter, thats 2.51 dollar per liter.
Thats probably the most expensive i have seen in a while,
thats for V-power 99 octane.
Im not exactly shure what the octane rating would be for this gasoline in the US, but probably the same as the "most" premium V-power you have.
Our jobs is better paid here, so that makes some of the difference.
But taxes on everything that has something to do whit cars in this country is TOTALLY INSANE, so most cars have small diesel engines and less and less gas engines, so becuse of that i belive that the gas actually is not that more expensive up here than it seems. But for me or any whit bigger engines than 2 litres its expensive enough.. I have a friend who had old Audi 80 which there was stuffed in an 4.2 Audi V8 in, the engine wasnt tuned or anything so it ran a bit fat and un-optimal, but in daily drving he used 2000kr or 380 dollar a week on gas, that is of course a bit extreme and special example.. But anyway, he couldnt afford it. so he sold it..
If I only lived in Sweden.. extreme gas prizes there too, but then i cold have had an vette or something else whit an LS at least....:(
The dollar is cheap now though! That means parts!! :)
