Ok enough with the ricer stuff though. Its just a beater with damn good MPG. And with a total of $275 invested I think Ive done pretty well!
The GF works over 100 miles away. Thats 400 miles on days she cant ride the van (picks ppl up who dont have to open). Cant keep doin that in the bird at $3.35 for 87...

You are going to let your girlfriend drive that car over 100 miles each way to work? I would not let my wife drive that thing 1 block. Those were bad cars when they were brand new.
but why did you get a beater like that? 23/33 whats your camaro get 20/27 not like this thing is a real fuel saver.
at least you can haul parts in it and keep miles off your car.
Not a fuel saver?! WTF? 6MPG difference. And as much as I drive and as far as she has to go, its a huge gas saver. And as for the Bird, Id say it gets about 20MPG TOPS.

I 100% disagree! I had a 1987 Hyundai Excel, ranked the top 25 worst car ever made (even each year is considered a different car). And it was the most reliable car Ive ever had. I never even did one thing to that car. Not even an oil change. You still want to listen to what those polls say? Drive one first, its no thrills by any means, just a point a to b GG...
It will be in top shape as soon as I get done working on it.

5.Massive creaking sound in the front when turning (wish I knew about FWD, anyone know what this is?) - Going away

16.No dash lighting (Im guessing fuse) - My god I wish I know WTF is wrong with the dash lights...
18.Passenger window crank is missing (and I dont just mean the handle) - window up
19.Driver door sags - Fixed

WTF? Why is everyone dissing this car so bad? Any car can completly f up at anytime. Ive seen a camaros front wheel assm completely fall off. My 3rd gen steering column broke completely in half while I was turning. But nothing ever happend when I was in my excel...
You guys can keep stabbing at the I4 FWD all you want. Just cuz its not an Fbody doesnt mean it cant drive.
Oh and I dont now how many Fbodies Ive been in where the brakes have failed.
