Ha that reminds me. I had to get a new alternator a few months back. I bought a brand new one from them which had a core fee. I brought the old one back to get the core free refunded. Since I paid with a credit card they were unable to recredit me. I stood for an hour arguing with them. They wanted to give me store credit of 55$, but I refused over and over. Finally after an hour they gave me cash.
I had a guy going freakin nuts. I called up and asked for a thermostat for a 67 Vdub, he told me they didn't have it but he may be able to 2nd source it HAHAHAH So I told him to get me a water pump, radiator, and hoses too. he called back 30mins later with his new found knowledge so I got real angry and demanded to speak to the manager. I got the manager to play along(friend of mine) and we had the guy crappin his pants lol
Pep boys has some good stuff. I bought my torin 2 ton engine hoist and engine stand from them. The hoist was 149.99 with a 40 rebate. Also bought a ust cheapo air compressor for 89.99 with a 30 rebate. Also its the cheapest place around that carries royal purple, however I buy car parts from the local advanced auto. The guys at this one know their stuff, but I've been to others that were a joke.
dont have them do any wheel or tire work... just last week end i had to take our 300m up there to have the wheels resealed because they were leaking around the bead... go it back everything looked good, got out on the highway and gave it some gas (im used to topping out at about 70 in my truck during the winter) so i got up to about 100-110 and slowed down to about 70 and it was vibrating pretty bad. i thought they did a ****ty job balancing the wheels when they were done. i get home and check the lugs, all 5 on one front wheel are FINGER tight.. 2 were almost completely off. i guess they didnt feel like tightening them back down when they were done... that could easilly be a lawsuit against them if they had a wheel fall off a customers car, not to mention deadly to the person driving it

they'll put you on hold for like 10 minutes and then come back on the line and be like sir all we could find were the spark plugs for 2001-2004 dodge cummins trucks....
