Most auto transmissions have the option, manual guys dont.

I've got full blown stability control...it stays on all the time, to much of a hassle to turn it off, keeps me from blowing through tires as well...and of course the obvious safety factor...if it can help me I'll use it....it's only a few seconds to turn it off and play anyways....

mine stays off until snow or heavy rains hit, then it comes on

Is that the "2nd" button?

Thats 2nd gear start..I have that on mine. When I start to lose traction mine will say "lowtrac" or something to that effect in the bottom left of the dash. Not sure if i have traction control or not.

I thought only Z28s had traction controls??? I could be wrong. 3800 autos have 2nd gear start. In slippery weather (i.e. heavy rain, sleet, snow etc) the transmission will start the car in 2nd gear instead of 1st. Just an annoying useless feature . You're suggested to avoid using it since it causes problems to your trans.

BTW, where is the option to select, "GM should've used the money toward flattening out the passenger side floor bump rather than the stupid 2nd gear button" ?
