      never had it...

on th G6, just leave it on, not a big deal, it keeps the wheels a little better if I stab the throttle in the rain.

        Re: Traction Control

Only the z28's and the formulas and such had traction control or TCS.
the 3800's had the SGS or second gear start. Which is NOT Traction control. Maybe just the cheap mans traction control.

because a v6 auto in 2nd gear will never spin the wheels.

such a random question but this just reminded me of it and i dont want to start a new thread about it.

my gf has an auto sunfire and on the left of the shifter theres a button and when you press it, a light on the dash says ETS OFF, then press it again and it goes out.

                whats ETS?

ETS is "Enhanced Traction System". It basically limits wheel spin by reducing engine power when one or more wheels are sensed to be spinning or there is a loss of traction

Are you sure about that? I have the 2nd gear start button on my 98 v6Firebird, but I also have a dash light that lights up "Low traction" as well. Given it's turned on a grand total of 5 times in 6 years, and I've driven in some decent snow, but I thought that was traction control. I mean, there's not much point to the light if there's no traction control is there?

I have a 3800 02 Camaro and I do have an ASR (Anti Slip Regulator) button next to the fog lights thank you very much. Its not TCS, but the 3800's did have the ASR... also the ASR will kick the gas pedal back on you if forget to turn it off during autocross.
