I bought a new truck, and the airbag sensor wasnt working, when you sit on the passenger seat, it switches from OFF to ON.
I took it to a dealership near my house to have it fixed, as I have a factory warranty.
I called and made an appointment, all they asked for was my name, what type of truck, and what the problem was.
The day of my appointment, I walked into the service department, I said, I have an appointment to get my truck fixed, my name is " " and I handed them my keys and left.
They said they would call me when it was done, I signed nothing blah blah blah.
Later that day, they called me and said "matt, your truck is missing sh!t....." "it is?" "yes, and we cant warranty it so you need to come pick it up"
So I show up to pick up my truck, I was pretty pist that it was nearly a $1,500 dollar repair and my warranty wasnt going to cover it, so I was going to go to the dealership I purchased it from to make them pay for it.
This @ss clown at the dealer I just had it at, says okay well we spent 2 hrs diagnosing the problem so you owe us $150.
I told him Im not paying that, I wouldnt have brought it in for warranty work if I thought I had to pay for it. GM should cover that. But since it had missing parts they wont warranty it and they have to pay the techs.
I never signed a paper saying I acknowledged there would be a fee...
So after b!tching at him, he said I could take the truck and go work it out at the dealer I bought the truck from and either
A. The dealer I bought the truck from would owe them $150
B. I owe them $150
I took it to the dealer I bought it from, told him the story, he said you dont owe them anything, blah blah blah they fixed my truck there So now they are calling me several weeks later wondering when they are going to get paid and whatnot.
What should I tell them, this is bull.
Am I right, If they are going to charge me they should have informed me or I should have signed something before they worked on it.
