Well there have been alot of rumors about how and when there going to be sending the tax stimulus. Here is the IRS link http://www.irs.gov/irs/article/0,,id=180250,00.html

The stimulas is going by the last two of your SSN , this is off the IRS page from above link



DIRECT DEPOSIT

I won't be getting any. :( It is so comforting to know that people who didn't work at all will be getting a tax rebate with my tax dollars. :rant:

How is that? It says you have to file for 07... Gotta work to do that...

actually scratch what i said. but i do have a question.
I thought I remember hearing someone say that this doesnt apply to you if youre still a dependant. (ie live with your parents) does that matter? or does it just go by your own personal income?

How is that? It says you have to file for 07... Gotta work to do that...

The package was amended to give rebates to those on Medicaid/Medicare and I think those collecting unemployment.

TRUE, unfortunately. My father claims me.
so i am not eligible for the stimulus package. :(

so if someone else claims you, you aren't eligible.

Yeah I'm pissed... my parent claim me but I live on my own, pay for everything except my college... which dad pays for and he doesn't claim me, only mom. What a piss whole!

From what they sent me, if you made over $3000 in 2007, you will get at least $300. If you made enough that you actually paid taxes, you get $600.

All this doesn't apply if you are a dependent, or if you make over $75,000.

Back in 2000 I was 18 and in the military and had lived on my own for 2 years prior to that and my dad claimed me and screwed me out of the checks they were sending out then, so I feel your pain.

disabled veterans that do not work get it also, but I think thats a good thing.
