hmm...I think I calculated (when that program was working) back in the day that with my 3.90 gears, and at 6500 rpm I could theoretically hit 315km/h before I ran out of gear...but you'd need alot of room....probably something like the salt flats...

        2002 SOM Z28 Camaro - 12.9 @ 104 mph
        1996 3800 Camaro - 13.43 @ 100.77 mph

I had a passenger and they saw it in action..I'm not saying the thing goes 200 or even 150! but it sure as hell goes faster than 120. I had a whole lot of rpm left...and yeah I probably would've needed 20 miles of open road to find out what would have happened. Somebody make a video and put it on youtube!!!!

If it is stock with stock PCM 118 is the limiter, with hptuners depends on the mods on the dyno and some back roads with 3.42's and M5 I have hit 137 MPH with a extra gear to go. Now with 3.73's and a A4 the top speed at 6000 RPMS is 175 MPH.

Car I think was hanging around 4k rpms in 5th was restricted by wind resistance

mods on car that really wouldn't affect it much
                      -z28 sways
                      -275s on zr1s

-I think I had my bilsteins in the car, either that or they were dead factory shocks.
135 with the t-tops off?! Holy crap dude. I notice a difference in acceleration (due to drag) with my tops off when I get up around 80-85.

i did 147 indicated on my z28 which was an A4 with 2.73s....i had enough gear for MAYBE another 25 mph if i was drafting a semi lol

but to go over 60mph faster than i did...id need different gears and more power.

Not saying that I've ever gone that fast, but I have it from an extremely reliable source that a 3.8 w/manual, intake/exhaust/tune will easily run to red-line (6k) in 4th, and can get up to around 4.5k in 5th if you have a couple of miles of open road. With 3.23 gears & 245/45/16 tires that works out to about 136 in 4th and 142-144 in 5th. My source also mentioned that while the car pulls pretty well in 4th all the way to red-line, it strains to pick up that extra 6-8 mph in 5th. He also mentioned that with a good suspension set up the car is very stable at those speeds...

...boy I wish I could go that fast :D
