Eh... nothing special and not exactly custom, except for the plug rewiring. But for what it's worth:

      Re: custom gps install

I'm thinking about putting one in my A pillar using the space between the pillar and the dash, but thats just me. Another place I'd try would be getting one of those gauge pods that sits ontop of the dash (one that curves and molds well with the rest of the dash) and carving out the pods to make room for the GPS. Those are just a couple thoughts, though...

That is about where I mounted my satellite radio. It is tucked in the corner of the dash right near the windshield and the A-Piller. Looks and works just fine there.

I 96 camaro and I have mine installed in that big hole, with the wires rerouted to the back so you cant see them...plus I made a sweet cover to hide it when I leave the car....I'll try and get some pictures of it up 2night when I get home...

                        Re: custom gps install

I first made a template out of cardboard, then I used that cut out the shape from a sheet of abs plastic, then with a bit of sanding I got to fit, put some vinyl on it and it stays via pressure fit...trick is to sand a little bit at a time
