Haha.. thanks.. I'm not going to be like that. ;) Anyway, here's a pic of the interior. It's called "shale". It's sort of beige, sort of gray, the dash is sort of brown. I thought I wouldn't like it, but it's real pretty. Btw, this is the coupe version of the commem. ed. The Z06 is the one that has the stripes. I may put the stripes on it eventually. And Kala, we're probably still going to Kerbeck in May. Just not to purchase anything. In retropspect, I saved myself at least $25,000 by getting the C5 and I didn't even trade the convertible. :) First mod: Doorsills!
I can't believe vettes only came with 2.73s or 3.15s? My M6 Camaro has 3.42s? I guess they want the vette to have better topend. Overall, I'm disappointed with the low end of the LS1, but i'm not dumping the clutch...yet :)
Congrats on an awesome car!
Thanks, I really appeciate it! I think they did the gearing like that for topend and fuel economy. :)
Beautiful car. When my kids get a bit older, I am buying one...
Only, I want Black / Black.
Yeah, I kind of swore off black but I was still looking at a couple of them... (an 04' vert and an 08'.) It's just too difficult a color to keep clean (shows everrrrything) and it's extremely HOT in the summer. I've had 4 black cars. The interior was a more important factor in the decision making this time. I wanted a lighter color... something different.
man taht color is awesome  .. I was looking for that color when I was buying the Z than I realized it's very common for Z to have that color... For Corvette, thats not a common color which is good... If you're NOT gonna buy a car, why are you stopping by at Kerbeck?? parts / perf. parts?
Here's a cell phone pic. And btw, believe it or not, this was a "hard"purchase for me. I've actually become accustomed to disliking Vettes due to some of the pompous people that own them and the priviledges these people get at car shows and cruise nights. (They let them in, but turn their head to the Camaro). I will always be a Camaro person at heart, no doubt about it. Also, I didn't trade the convertible. I "could" keep it theoretically. Only thing is, I'm running out of room for these cars and I already have that one stored in a friend's garage. I'll have to see how things pan out. If I decide, I can always try and sell it at a car show.
Very nice!! I know what you mean.
5 years ago I think, when I was driving my black Firebird to the dealership for a warranty check up. A Vette owner came up to me and said, "Nice Camaro!!" And as we continued talking he asked me when I was going to upgrade myself to a Vette? Then I will never forget he said this to me, "Camaro is known as the Poor man's Corvette."
I nearly died laughing when I left that dealership. First of all, he called my Firebird, Camaro, and then he called it a poor man's Corvette. I wonder what he would have said if he found out that it was a V6? LOL
Congrats again, Shirl. Deciding which car to drive is like which flavor do I feel like having.
Not much going on, replaced my Kenwood double din stereo with a Pioneer double din, the Kenwood had problems. Then replaced my power inverter for my reverse...
