My family suggest I sell my Pontiacs

SInce my wife can't work anymore and they see us struggling everyday they suggested selling my Firebirds and Fiero.

This would mean that I would be left with my Santa Fe which has 1 more year to pay, and my '88 mitsubishi truck, which has been extremely reliable.

As is I am not driving my '89 bird anymore. I took it off from my insurance. I've gone liability on all my cars so I could save money. I drive my '98 2 or 3 times a week. I use mainly my Truck and Fiero for work. The Santa Fe is for my wife.

I really don't want to sell any of my Pontiacs, because for one thing they are not worth anything. And second, I invested a lot of money on them in the past.

If anything I'm thinking about selling the '98 Firebird because it would still be worth 7K-9K in the market and it looks like it's brand new. I could sell the mods and get 5k out of it. '89 Bird and Fiero are not worth anything. I would lose big time.

I'm trying not to think about this because I love my Pontiacs. They're like my kids. But in a couple more months if I don't see improvements I may need to make a decision.

idk man...i was gonna say keep the 98 bird but after u said that the other ones arent worth anything idk...i mean that bird is beautiful and just couldnt imagine who would get it and how they would treat her...thats wat i thought when my dad wanted me to trade in my bird...but i told him no cuz the dealer told me it would go to down to mexico and couldnt let them do that so i kept her.....if i was u, id at least try to keep the bird and try to get some money with the other cars bc ur gonna regret it if u sell it seeing how much u like them like i do mine...thats just me and she looks great...seen to many birds here goin to the junkyard cuz they keep getting wrecked...and thats wat i thought when u said u were gonna sell it, just some punk kid is gonna end up recking it....

ima have to be the grown up... their just cars. sure your attached and they have special meaning to you. but LIFE comes first. later on when your in a better position and you can afford one nothing will stop you from buying a new one. they dont have feelings. good luck with your decision bud

Yeah I gotta agree with him on this one. Unfortunately times are tough for everyone it seems like. Take time to think about it though and see if there are anymore options you have.

I love my toys but I would have no problem getting rid of everything I own as I'm left with a roof over my head and some type of transportation to get me from A to B. Sucks to struggle so figure out where you need to be to not. Crappy advice I know but that's really what it comes down to.

Sounds like selling the 98 would be your only benefit. However, that bird is the secks. I know how hard it would be for me to part with my bird, but if times were tough, I would do it in a second to keep my house.

sell the bird, but keep the others as a last resort...if they're worth nothing then they are not going to help you unless it comes right down to the grind...priotritize man, do your best to cut back on what you dont need....best of luck to ya

honestly... I have been to hell and beyond. with med bills worried about being in debt for the rest of my life. **** I almost sold my Camaro after first med bill but decided it was a good "car" to have.

I did my fun car thing but once my "fun" started affecting my normal living I said **** it dumped them an never looked back.

They are just cars, I will own more cars in the future, and i realized just about any car I have I can find enjoyment out of it.

And you have how many cars? Also with your project cars, you won't have money to enjoy them you will look out and get upset, just sell it, take the money, get yourself right and plan your next project further down the road.



Just saying my camaro was amazing, I would never get rid of it and die in it.... then I dumped it. Got a 94. Then I thought I lvoe this car I will keep it forever and it will love it... Then I got rid of it. then I got my 2k, figured I will have this for a long time and love it. I had it, then I decided... **** it.

You have to do what you gotta do man. I don't understand though, it's your car paid off? Does your family mean to get extra money you should sell it or you should sell it because the car is costing you too much money?
