Sometimes it goes away by itself.. otherwise surgery (according to the gods at wikipedia). Which sucks... i haven't needed to go to the doctor for ages.

Your Dr. is going to order an Upper GI series (with barium) . It's a fluro study. With this study, radiologist can tell if you have hiatal hernia and also at what level.

When I landed it's like somebody kicked me between the legs. Doctor said I have a slight hernia.
Same thing happened at work to a guy a few weeks ago. He jumped down from about a 5 foot ledge and landed on both feet at the same time, shoulder width apart. As soon as his feet hit the ground he doubled over. Took the guy to the hospital and the doc told him to take a week of rest. I've never had a hernia *knock on wood* and I hope I never do have one.
