coming back from my friends house a little while ago (3:30am) I made a top speed pull in my car
He lives in the middle of no where right where the free way ends.

I gunned it and i took the car all the way up to 5000rpms in 5th gear. But because my speedo was maxed out way before then i didnt really know how fast i was going. Came on the computer and used a gear/rpms calculator and figured out i was going 155mph. And the road was straight, didnt slant down or up. And i feel that my car could of pulled a little more actually, but i didnt want to blow anything up. I think i could of gotten to mayb 160/165mph

i would say that is pretty good for a v6 no?

was kinda scary, when i put the clutch in and shifted into neutral, my car turned off lol, must of been something about the vacuum at such a high speed. But i just started it back up when i slowed down a little.

You weren't going 155. Not possible to even go over 121 unless the limiter is removed, then MAYBE 135. MAYBE. You need to recalculate.

It exponentially takes more power to get above that 120 mark, very similar to the exponential factor of going faster and faster in the 1/4 mile. Like I said, I don't think you did 155. But if you still have the limiter in, and depending on your gears, probably only 118-121.

obviously my limiter is removed. And anyway i think the limiter is set at 118, not 121

i have 3.42s

5,000 rpms in 5th gear? do the calculations for yourself.
granted the tach on these cars are off by maybe 3-400 rpms its still about 140

According to Smoke Panther, you can get to your theoretic top speed (end of gears) in these cars with 10hp.

Its possible not bad...

I hit liek 4200-4300 in my stock tune(minus limiter) car, pretty much stock car with nothing but a cutout and my t-tops off.

I think that was like 135-140ish. I forget.




when you calculate don't forget to account for tire size(overall diameter), then do rear gear/tranny gear/RPM calculations.

You can do all the calculations you want.
I dont believe it 100% till i see the speed on the tach and or the radar.
