I used to work at an airport...I'd get calls from the tower once in a while to get ride of birds from taxi and runways. I used a small gun that shot both blanks and flares...the blanks were loud bangs and the flares would whistle...both worked well at least for a while, but it's not a permanent sollution.

true...i just thought if u lived in the burbs where you could probably get away with it.
it depends on the airport and their bird control budget. Where I worked there was 0 budget for bird control so the tower just picked up the phone and called the first fuel station that had a bunch of guys working who would love to drive as fast as possible down the runway and scare birds away.
Etobicoke area....Queensway and Islington area...its considered the burbs in toronto, but I think even if I went outside with a BB gun and started shooting off, Id atleast have cops at my house
yeah that's not really far enough out of town...I'd say do it if u were in Mississauga or something. Although I live right downtown at Wellesley and Parliament and I hear gunshots almost daily...haha
Hawk should work as well. Any birds of prey are pretty good. Owls are the best because of their size. you could always make a mask with big yellow eyes and a little beak, throw a sheet over your shoulders and run screaming WHO WHOOOOOO at the birds. If you can take one down and eat it in front of the others it may send a good message.

if u do this, call me...i'll film it and post it up for the other board members!
it's not a bad neighborhood, but i do hear a lot of random 'loud bangs' (not cars backfiring) and it really makes u wonder if u just heard someone getting shot.
haha yea I'll do it as a last resort...but as Im all dressed up and yelling I'll be firing off rounds of BB's everywhere so you might have to do some dodging....
and yea, seems like ATLEAST one person gets shot a day somewhere in toronto
Hey guys. For starters I’ve always been a big car guy, I love all types of cars and can appreciate all types of engineering. I’ve always been a Chevy...
